Family Time

Right before Ryan left to move to Seattle he took the time out of his crazy schedule to spend some quality time with us as a family. I am so grateful to have a husband who focuses on what is truly important. I often think of those who were lost in 9/11 or my dear friend's brother tragically passing away and wonder what were the lasting memories that they left their families with.
Not that Ryan was dying but he was separated from us for quite some time and it soothed us all to have these images in our mind of him with us.
We went to Heritage Square in Golden, CO and got to go down the Alpine slide and just be together as a family! It was great fun!

ALMOST Home Sweet Home

So after a long month we are in the home stretch. Within the next week or two we will be closing on our home (fingers crossed) in Duvall, WA. Although I KNOW it will all work out, I am still nervous. That's why I have Ryan.
He is seriously my SuperMan. He has dealt with all of the technical stuff. Money, inspections, money, offers, money...you get the point. I'm just good for a signature BUT at least I have that.
Until now I have been super nervous to put pictures up of our almost home. But here they are. We are very excited to move in and to get settled and to just get back to life.
Thank you again to everyone who helped hold my psychoses at bay throughout all of this. And please come visit.

Ch-Ch-CHANGES

So two months ago life was just plugging away as normal and BAM!
Now we are  moving to Seattle!

From 300+ days of sun in Denver to about 150-ish days of sun in Seattle.
After casually applying to jobs Ryan got an offer from Amazon.com (the smile on the box company).  We prayed and prayed to know what to do. The decision was fraught with fear and excitement.  This is the longest Ryan has ever lived anywhere. We have grown up here. Our children have grown up here. We have family and friends here. We have SUNSHINE here.
No matter what though this is what we are supposed to be doing. Ryan will have no travel with this job and Amazon is not going under tomorrow.

Relocating has been hard. With Ryan gone since early September and me and the kids and buying and selling....this is exhausting. Thankfully I have tons of help! But in a way that makes it harder because I am going to miss this amazing support system I have here.

I have  friends that are like family and family that are my friends. I am leaving the only home that my youngest child remembers. I am leaving a community at the kids school that gets their issues and their teachers are amazing.

No matter....I know we will make new friends. They won't be these friends but they will be good and great and maybe one day as awesome as these friends.

Luckily we have found a home in a town called DUVALL. The population is only about 6,000 but that is ok. Different is good sometimes.

We are so grateful to everyone for their help and support. For listening to me complain. For having us over for dinner. For letting us crash your homes during showings. For being super awesome and giving me the greatest boost in confidence.  The best part about moving is that everyone tells you and shows you how much they will miss you and you don't have to die.

Seriously blessed here! Now to pick hubby up at the airport for one last time....
